Full-Time Custom Framing Designer / Sales Associate Position
Description: The District Gallery & Framery, a fine art gallery and high-end custom framing shop with over 25 years in the industry in Knoxville, TN, seeks to hire a full-time Custom Framing Designer / Sales Associate. The qualified candidate would be able to help customers select matting and framing options and be versed in fine art and craft sales as well as customer service and retail merchandising. Computer skills are a must. A visual arts or design background is a plus. The ideal individual would be detail-oriented, creative, enthusiastic, and able to independently manage special projects. Our frame shop focuses on creative display solutions, so the successful candidate will be excited to add an artistic element to the team, and willing to think outside the box.
Requirements: Preferred one or more years experience in custom framing design or art gallery sales but willing to train the right candidate with a creative background. Candidates with a background in a commercial gallery, visual arts or interior design will be strongly considered.
Experience with Artisan Point of Sale, Lifesaver, and Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
Gallery hours: Tuesday-Friday 10:00am – 5:30pm, Saturday 10:00am – 4:00pm
