Bill Suttles: Take Five, featuring DaNisha Sculpture
The District Gallery is pleased to present Bill Suttles: Take Five. A lifelong jazz enthusiast, Suttles has spent the year rediscovering jazz music with the help of a new gadget, his Amazon “Alexa.” In the expressive color and form of his abstract and landscape paintings, Suttles recaptures the mood of a nostalgic musical era.
Also featured will be soulful “Metropolis” cityscape bowls by New Mexico ceramic artists Dan and Nisha Ferguson, who have combined their talents under the studio name DaNisha Sculpture. This will be a rare opportunity to view DaNisha’s one-of-a-kind sculptural works, notably a range of Knoxville-themed ceramic bowls, as well as a variety of three-dimensional pieces full of charm, color, and whimsical detail.
Join us for a night of fine art inspired by jazz, with a live performance by an up-and-coming trio. Vocalist, Hannah McKay, current student of Seymour High School, John McKay and Zach Ward, recent grads of Seymour High School.
