Biography

“Based in Nashville, Tn., My work as an artist started when I was old enough to hold a crayon. My head was always in the clouds, (excuse the pun). My mind works overtime and I see things around me that most people miss. It can be exhausting, but I’ve learned to gleam the benefits of creativity and wonder. Forced to do “other things” throughout the first years of life, my career as an artist took foot a little later. When I turned 50, my husband and I both had career challenges and found ourselves in a place where we could revisit our lifestyle and make changes. This is when I decided to explore and took up the “crayon” once more. I am a mostly self-taught artist. I have experimented with many mediums only to realize that oils and a pen and ink are my muse. I’m told that my cloudscapes evoke wonder and curiosity It’s extremely rewarding to hear a patron imagine their own story from one of my pieces. My drawings are another avenue where I can express my respect for the life cycle of nature, from birth transitioning to decay. I live with the colors that you see in my work. I decorate my home with them, dress in them and create with them. They are “Old Soul” colors. Classic, mysterious, tactile. My work has been collected internationally, has been curated by Art consultants for Corporate projects, often commissioned to create work for private collections. I have had the honor of being published in Art Collector Magazine, Atlanta Home and Lifestyles , Southern Living, and other periodicals. My dream for you is that by studying my works, you will also discover wonder and curiosity.”
